Hi I developed a penchant for Australian Disney Comic books. AFTER I had bought ALL IPC Disney comics from 1972 to 1981 in Britain. So there was not much to do as regards Disney Comics Since I mainly like Disney comics 1962-1984 And have 95 % of all American Disney comics from this period under the ...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi Been away for some time. Despite an illness i bought tons of interesting stuff. Most intriguing was a Brit Peter Pan comic , published by Purnell in 1953. It has the "Captain Hook vs. Peter Pan" comic tale. However, it has nearly the same cover as the World comic book with the movie story, also p...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Wow, what a great surprise. If i am not mistaken Rudolph turns out to be a foundling and a prince of a neighbouring country. And her future fiancé. But that is in a later story. For this storyline is unfamiliar to me. I have most of the later stories in the Dutch "Sjors" for it would be impossible t...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Wow, that is a strange turn of events. Unfortunately the Himalayan kingdoms of Sikkim and Nepal passed away, the last with a bang. Only the kingdom of Bhutan is left. You can see sixties modern is not modern anymore. One of the appeals of the Princess Anita stories is that it reminded me of Austria-...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Thank you very much Phil. Using School Friend i even found a sample. But i did not want to spoil your fun. The honour belongs to you. I read Princess Anita was published in the comic for girls School Friend 1954 to 1958 as well in later annuals. But it is not verified. Nevertheless, the Dutch "Sjors...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi Actually i found someone who knew something about Princess Anita on this site; felnymike But i am unable to contact him. Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks I have a question. When i was a little boy it was hard to share anything with my sister who was over 11 years older than me. We shared however a comic strip about Princess Anita, made by Bill Mainwaring. The Dutch comic book was intended for boys and girls. Can anyone provide me any informa...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks
It is awfully hot on the European continent.
Yet i just bought a copy of "Walt Disney's Weekly".
It was the ill fated sequel to the UK "Mickey Mouse"mag.
And it is supposed to contain Peter Pan.
Probably "Peter Pan and Hook the Crook".
We will wait and see.
Best wishes, Johan

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks Hallo Sue. Your comic reached me safely. Thank you so very much! Now i can read this favourite story in an attractive mag. And not in the battered original or the French editions which are redrawn and badly coloured. Can i do something in return? Please? I would like at least to pay you for...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks The scan from the UK "Peter Pan treasure Chest" was taken from "Captain Hook and the Buried Treasure". It is nice to see the Darling children in their dayclothes as well as the parents. However, the boys go on treasure hunting while Wendy stays home, that is the rented cottage. And the stor...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks As promised i am posting a scan from the UK "Peter Pan Treasure Chest". To my utter surprise the lead story drawn by Al Hubbard from the original Dell edition was not in it. So it contains only stories not taken from the Peter Pan movie but with independent storylines. This mag is not as ba...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway
Hi folks I managed to buy the British " Peter Pan Treasure Chest". It is a bit battered and rather expensive. However, because it is so rare i took a plunge - into the Neversee. I hope to enclose more scans when it arrives. Also i am not sure which stories are in this UK edition but let it be a surp...

Re: Treasure: Wee Willie Winkie visits Fleetway

In the US it was distributed by Fawcett I have a few of these, bought in an American bookstore over here, long ago. And i will...
