The Big Battle Book I bought is not dated but I saw at one internet source it was dated 1965 however the original price is 10/6 pre decimal.

Picked up this world distribution annual from the market place for £2 ,at first I thought it was a battle comic annual before glancing through it.

Picked up a Rupert annual from 2010 for a £1 from a charity shop only because it gives a brief history of Rupert and it includes stories by the four main illustrators.

The particular stall I got them from Sid is at the market on Wednesdays and sells collectable stuff like stamps ,cigarette cards ,football programmes ,records and model cars as well as comics. Previous weeks as I have passed by they have had the usual 2000ad and the newer Beano comics which I am not ...

Out christmas shopping today not for myself of course and then I saw a bag of 35 tabloid size toppers on leicester market for £5 which I couldn't resist buying for my collection,they had two more similar bags full but one was enough for me.

Picked up Marvel 2 part comic 1984/5 Sheena official adaption of the movie and DC Secret Origins 1973/4 issues 1,3,4,6,7. For £10 from the town market.They had a few boxes loaded with 2000AD comics but I was on the lookout for comic titles I don't have in my collection.

Picked up a couple of comics from town market today £1 each.They had some other comics such as a few copies of Hoot ,1 copy each of Toxic and Whizzer and Chips but settled to just buying the ones shown..

Picked up this 1961 book for 50p from a charity shop a couple of days ago on holiday ,it's nothing special but the front cover mentions that it was a BBC TV series.
I might have seen the odd episode in the past but it couldn't have left much of an impression because I can't recall it.

Sorry,meant to say you might wish to purchase The Sweeney annual if in reasonable condition,as they tend to go for between a tenner and 30 notes on ebay,so is a bargain at £2 and an easy re-sell if you have no interest in it yourself.

Sometimes when i visit a charity shop and make some great comic or annual finds I expect to find more from the same shop in the weeks that follow only to be disappointed.
Usually when I least expect it I find comics I want to buy.
It's surprising with the hundreds of comics and annual titles ...
