Re: Greek and French girls comics with Patty's World

There are more French issues of Patty than the twelve that were bound in one volume, but I do not know how many. There were at least eight more issues. The colouring in these comics is awful, I think. They should better have left the comics in black and white.

Re: Think 'Pink'!

Nice to see these scans. Except for 'Patty's world', these have all been reprinted in Anita in the Netherlands. (Patty's world was reprinted in Tina.) Anita was a comic for slightly older girls than the readers of Tina, with a lot of mystery and romance. I always wondered from which UK comic Anita t...

Re: Reprinted stories in Princess Mk.2

'Dream house' is a rather nice story, with a good comeuppance at the end. Great art, too. 'Rowena of the doves' I found uninteresting, even boring. It starts off okay, but drags on too much to my liking. I wonder if it was nevertheless popular at the time, and if that was the reason it was reprinted...

Tammyfan wrote:How many issues did Sally last? What is the date and number of the last issue, please?
Sally had 83 issues published in 94 weeks. There was a gap of ten weeks because of a strike, and in 1970 there was one issue for two weeks.

The final issue was dated March 27, 1971.

It´s not José Casanovas´. It looks more like Giorgio Giorgetti´s, which it isn´t neither, unless he changed his style

Re: Shirley Bellwood RIP

Lovely artwork. Uptil now I had only seen her work from the 70's for Misty and a few other girl's comics. From which comic is this?

Trying to identify artist: Escans? (something) E (something)

I was reading 'Living with Laura' from Penny, and tried to find out who the artist was. On only one of the story's 56 pages there is a small, rather vague signature, but I can't make out what it says. Does anyone recognise the signature?

Trying to identify artist: Duggan?

In the third episode of the Penny story 'Sad Sal and Smiley Sue' there's a signature that reads something like S.D. Duggan. Not sure about the S. I can't seem to find any information about this artists. Does anyone know the name?

Trying to identify artist: Jésus Pino?

In Penny I noticed a signature in the second episode of 'Waifs of the waterfall' (writer: Alison Christie). The signature seems to be something like Jesús Pino, but I can't find anything related to comics on the internet searching for that name. Can anyone help identify this artist?

Re: Information about artist called Marck?

By the way, Penny had more artists whose work I've never seen before, or rarely. Not the typical girls' comics artists. (Of course there were also some well known artists working for Penny, like Carlos Freixas, John Armstrong and Veronica Weir.) Perhaps some of the stories were reprints of comics fr...
