Re: Newspaper comic strips

To be honest, I thought Uncle Joshua was Pete Nash. Certainly someone close to him. Did anyone (not intimately associated with Striker) read the replacement? Quick search says 'The Premier'. Was that 3D art? Any creators we might be aware of work on it? Ha. I am not Pete Nash. I run what is classed...

Re: Newspaper comic strips

. I don't regard Striker as a comic strip as it is computer created. Where is the pen in hand creativity? I suppose one could argue that it is created in its own way but if you are cut and pasting images is that so? Maybe i'm wrong and it does require some talent? A response to this from Striker cr...

Re: Comics/Issues That Never Got Published

In 2004/05 Tom Cruise was part of a remake of War of the Worlds.. The film was expected to be huge so Pete Nash (Striker) invested a fair amount of money gained from shareholders (readers) buying the pictorial rights from Jeff Wayne. the film was a bust so Nashy didn't complete the artwork. I have s...

Re: Newspaper comic strips

Oh dear-----a lot of these SUN strips never run very long, do they? I don't think the editorial give the concepts proper room to 'breathe' and to take off with the public....... There was another SUN cartoon strip called DREADNOUGHTS that never ran that long, either...... I think the football strip...

Re: Newspaper comic strips

was that the vampire one, Uncle? If so, I remember it--it never lasted too long. No, that was called Shadows...or something like that? In fact, that was written by former Striker employees...they also did the rubbish football strip that they tried to replace Striker with. Psycops ran at the same ti...

Re: Striker

I think Striker is going from strength to strength at the moment. The Li Ming dying and Nick inheriting her money is brilliant.

Nashy has huge plans for the strip, which is now in its 30th year.

Registering

Hey guys,

Could registering for the site be made more simple? The password thing is an utter farce. It is such a pain to remember passwords anyway but, every second letter a cap, include three numbers and the woman next-door bra size. How so we remember such things when trying to log in?
