Klakadak You deserve a knighthood for putting this collection out. If I'm not being too nosey was it difficult and long getting permission from the owners of these strip? Who owns the strips now?

It's quite a varied selection and lets face it, it's been years since British comic fans have had this good. Surprised though that there is nothing front Action comic or Roy of the Rovers

Totally agree Nipper is a great strip, the early ones with Tully and Solano are particularly special.

I should have qualified it by saying it's been the best year in my opinion for at least the past 10 years when apart from the usual DCT offerings there was nothing much. Yes it can't be compared to the golden years but a few years ago I would never have thought there would be Misty, Scream, Dracula ...

Thanks to Rebellion it's been the best ever year for British comic fans
Personally my favourite was Marney the Fox with Faceache a hairs breath second

I will be buying it too but I think it will have a limited appeal (I hope I'm wrong) . Its a strange choice and sorry Lew I would rather have Hugh Fowler and Jimmy Jinx anyday.

Im hoping it will be the football strips from Scorcher - Sub, Hugh Fowler etc

Finally got round to reading Marney, I had forgotten how good it was.It reminded me how much British comic strips such as this one outclassed their repetitive American counterparts.

Fantastic writing and beautiful artwork. More of same Rebellion please.

Rebellion should be richly applauded for their latest British comic Treasury release. Marney the Fox is a beautiful book and the passing of time hasn't diminished its wonderful artwork and brilliant story telling. Michael - We will not see Brassneck, Desperate Dan or VIS characters in the Rebellion reprints.

Shame though that DCT don't do a Ken Reid annual he done some great stuff for the Dandy in the 60s

Yes I have to concur, Rebellion have an excellent job on the production, quality paper and great wrap round cover. Does anyone know if the hookjaw book will have be re-coloured? If my memory serves me right due to the poor quality of newsprint the colour was very dull. Thank you for the Speedyhen tip
