Why will Britain & the UK not exist? Scotland is just one part of it.

Re: Excel brainbox needed.

I’d advise you to go with Al’s method using the Fill Series function because this will take into account leap years. Just writing a formula for (cell +7) won’t.

Re: John Sullivan dies at 64

Steve the reason writers are solo in the UK is because they're commissioned to only write 6-8 episodes. In the US it's 13-26 (both not including re-writes). It'd be impossible to do!

AV For Dummies

Forget all the broadcasts about the pro’s and con’s of AV. It was all explained by Barry in Auf Wiedersehen Pet back in ’84

Re: Bubblegum cards

I remember a set for the Ron Ely Tarzan series that formed a “poster” on their flip sides.

There was also Bazooka Joe Bubble Gum which had a three (?) panel comic strip inside the pack.

Perhaps 22 is the comic worlds equivalent of 27?

Re: Feature on Orion constellation in a UK annual

Well remembered Abjack! I've tried to upload and image of this but the technologies not working this morning. You need to search for the Sparky 1973 annual.

It's part of a series called Tales Men Tell. Also included are The Loch Ness Monster, Gelert the faithful hound and Gog and Magog

Wonder no more, it is in fact a copy of Hotspur and Hornet 874 dated 17/7/76 and the character on the top of the front page is Joe Dodds of Cast, Hook and Strike

Re: Double Double Comics

I’ve got JLA 2 and Batman 3 and this thread got me to dig them out again. I’m guessing they came out in 1971 with them having both forms of pricing on the cover (incidentally it’s Decimal Days 40th anniversary next week). Most of the material inside is dated 1966 so their must have been a huge...

Re: A question for you all

The only reason that my collection of seventies Victors survived my mums periodic culling was that I hid them, by removing the bottom drawer from a dressing table and stashing them in the four inch gap underneath and then replacing the draw.

Return of Catweazle

There's going to be a one off Catweazle film for ITV starring Rhys Ifans. The bad news is - there's going to be a Search For Carrot (the young boy part) series.

Let’s not forget Sir Geoffrey’s Christmas day message to the nation after 12 minutes play “Luke eet’s a flat track. There’s no way England can win!”

Who had that one, on their Boycott Bingo card?
