Yes, praying for Leopard Lime Street Volume 3

Dredger from Action or, The Hunters from Battle would be great ,but I am not holding my breath for those.

Re: Striker by Pete Nash collected editions.

Yeah I miss the old newspaper cartoons. Have a couple of the George and Lynne collections.nice art despite corny humour.

My folks bought the Sun of course so never read scorer or Garth.Modesty Blaise was another.

Any other decent bygone series from the tabloids ?

Re: Striker by Pete Nash collected editions.

Thanks for sharing. Will treat myself to vol. 1. See how I get on. Might be like Grange Hill where I will only watch the first few years.

I have a soft spot for the early years. So may get first two volumes.

I did wonder why it isn't perhaps better known. However I will still buy it for the breathtaking art.

Re: Rebellion Trigan Empire

Looks great. So good to see British comic classics given the respect they deserve.

Can anyone who has read it say does the story live up to the art????

Re: Search for Story in Annual

My guess was they were either aliens or robots looking to replace the human race. Stepfordwives/bodysnatchers.

Re: Search for Story in Annual

Sounds a really good story. Very Stepford Wives. A book I am about to read . Original film was 1975 but not sure when first shown on UK tv screens. Which may have given the writer the idea.

Re: The Comp

Cheers. The recent documentary about Bros on BBC four, brought back a few memories of schools in the mid 80s. Worth checking out even if you weren't a fan of the music. It's on iPlayer now.

The Comp

I remember reading some of my sister's Nikki comics in the 80s and the one that stands out was the Comp. I just wandered if it ever came to a conclusion of any kind. Did it change focus to different years in the new term? Had some great Grange Hill type story lines. (Well the first 7or 8 seasons any...
