Re: John Richardson’s artwork in girls’ comics
Many thanks, David, for the helpful information about John Richardson's work on Lucky and Jeannie, I've amended the latest list on the previous page. I'm afraid I don't have the Sandie issue which had the first episode of Jeannie (1 July 1972?), so I can't help with whoever might have been the artis...

Re: Belle of the Ballet-Lyndy of Latymer Grange
Thanks, Vautour. Yes, this is the first of the two stories published in Princess under the name "Stage Struck". This story ran from around February 1965 to 5 June 1965.

Re: Belle of the Ballet-Lyndy of Latymer Grange
Thanks for posting this, Vautour - a fascinating bit of editing. I see the poor gendarme has also been demoted - he's lost his sergeant's stripes! The story is from "Belle and Mamie - Stage Struck". Two separate stories were published under this title. This particular story started on 12 June 1965, ...

Re: John Richardson’s artwork in girls’ comics
Thanks very much for the information, David. Thanks especially for the details about John Richardson’s contribution to Look-In, which I hadn’t come across before. I don't have the comics, but I've had a dig around online, and I think you are right that he drew some of “Bionic Action”. He seems to ha...

I used to like this one as well. Wondered for years what a yobba ray was, but nobody seems to know.

Re: Belle of the Ballet-Lyndy of Latymer Grange
I’m not a comics expert, so I don’t really know how far British publishers reprinted foreign stories, or how many of them may have been adapted. Certainly, British publishers used many foreign reprints, especially in the early days of comics, but I think most of these were from the USA or Commonweal...

Re: Belle of the Ballet-Lyndy of Latymer Grange
Yes, the last three stories in Princess after Peacocks and Sparrows ("Stage Struck", "The White Rose Award" and "The Heiress") follow their fortunes as members of the children's Theatre & Dance School. These stories were all drawn by Leslie Otway.

Re: Belle of the Ballet-Lyndy of Latymer Grange
Thanks, Vautour, for posting another fine example of Harry Lindfield's art. Yes, this is indeed Peacocks and Sparrows, published in Princess from 10 October 1964 to sometime in January or February 1965. In the English version, Belle and Mamie have joined a "School of Theatre and Dance for Children".

Re: dandy beano summer special 1963 just found!!
I think that eBay is probably the best bet for direct sales, but you may find it worth offering some or all of them to 30th Century Comics (https://30thcenturycomics.co.uk/). They usually want to see a list with approximate grades, but would probably be interested in early 60's titles in good condit...
