'sfunny how you (me anyway) can remember images but not names - I have absolutely no recollection of it being called General Jumbo, but that's certainly the cartoon strip. ........the comic strip (1950s) (and in what comic) where a boy had a set of "live" soldiers/figures that he brought out of the box to fight the evil forces he saw?

Probably making that sound more dramatic than it was but it always fascinated me and I wanted a set!!
