Re: What comics did you buy today?
I won five Popeye Specials (Polystyle) on ebay and collected them on Thursday. None of them have been indexed on Grand Comics Database which is why I bought them.
Only ever had a couple, I think 1976 and 78 ones.
Aware of a couple more.
Never knew so many were made by TV Comic.
And neither did ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Cheers jim244. To be honest I try to get annuals with the least wear & tear. To be honest I've have been lucky so far.
Talking Doctor Who. I got the 1965 William Hartnell annual myself. Always wanted to get the 1971 Pertwee pink Annual. A bit pricey. Not prepared to pay inflated prices asked ...

Re: Ncuti Gatwa Axed From Dr Who
One final thing that I must say.
I have gay friends, male and female.
I'm not some sort of Christian evangelist fascist on a crusade.
These views are simply those of a fan of the series since I first watched it in 1973.
I don't like it when the central character becomes a scapegoat to certain ...

Re: Ncuti Gatwa Axed From Dr Who
To be absolutely clear, I simply don't feel that the central character of DR Who should ever be about sexuality, I wasn't happy with the 10th Dr and Rose scenario but it was kept vague enough for them just to have been very good friends.
And in reality, the only time that The Dr was ever seen as ...

Re: Ncuti Gatwa Axed From Dr Who
We have had 2 gay Dr Whos' in a row.
And Jodie ending up gay was just so insulting to any female of any age that had ever watched the show and then the black community finally get a Dr and he is gay as well.
If I had been black or female as a child and had an interest in this show I think I may have ...

Re: Ncuti Gatwa Axed From Dr Who
There will potentially be a Xmas special this year but ultimately the woke left wing politics (and I say this as a left wing moderate) has spelled disaster for ratings and frankly had it been extreme right wing politics I suggest the result would be the same.
