Re: What comics did you buy today?

Usually I save up for a big DVD purchase every six months, but as there wasnt much out I wanted, the money instead went to buying the Sparkys.

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Philcom, you are definately right.

About 55 issues in total. (mainly 1971-1976 issues)

With this lot, I have about 120 issues in my collection, so I still have about 500+ to go.

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I just had the biggest ever comic purchase this morning at 26Pigs.

Outside of a handful of issues I already had (about six issues), I bought all the Sparkys (plus a few that were not listed)

I should get them sometime mid-end of January.

Re: 'widescreen' comics: original-format BEEZER and TOPPER

Wave three arrived today, which includes the 20/2/65 issue (a strip from which will appear on my blog next year.) Meanwhile, I have a strip from Bill Ritchie, and as it's getting closer to Christmas, here's a Christmas themed episode of Baby Crockett from 19/12/64 (including a promotion for the Beez...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I struck a collection of Dandy's from 1965, including the issue that was on sale the week I was born.

and if memory serves me right, the Dandy went on sale Tuesdays around this time, so it went on sale on the day I was born (Number 1213 released 16/2/65, dated 20/2/65)

Re: 'widescreen' comics: original-format BEEZER and TOPPER

Wave two of three arrived today. For a change of pace, I have today two strips from the 1970's, and like before, any information would be appreciated. The first one is Krunch, the monster from the Deep , originally from the Beezer, issue dated 4/10/75 (art by Frank McDiarmid, according to this post ...
