Re: Whoopee with Shiver and Shake - Issue dated 12/4/1975

Were you in Australia back then? I know the IPC comics were sold there - I always noticed the Australia 20c price on them. If so, were they well distributed or hard to find? Did they turn up many weeks late? I was actually born here. :) It's the same here today than it was back then, the comics wer...

Re: Whoopee with Shiver and Shake - Issue dated 12/4/1975

Anyway ... isn't Whoopee and Shiver and Shake a fantastic comic? One of the best IPC fun comic line-ups ever, I think. At least you still have Evil Eye, Scream Inn and the Bumpkin Billionaires. Yep! Whoopee (with Shiver and Shake) was one of the first Fleetway/IPC humour titles I read in my childho...

Re: Whoopee with Shiver and Shake - Issue dated 12/4/1975

Iv'e had all day to think about it, and decided not to buy from him again.

It might have been a wasted effort if I did take up the offer. :(

Re: Comics on TV

I'be bought the entire run of "Open All Hours", so if I get the time, I'll peruse the DVD's for the Look-In and Buster references, and post both in a future post in my blog.

Digifiend.

He did ask if there were any pages missing. If there were, he would give me a 20% discount on my next order.

So, I'm taking up that offer.

Whoopee with Shiver and Shake - Issue dated 12/4/1975

I have a question in regards to the above issue. I had received my issue today and have an enquiry. I know the normal page count for Whoopee was 32 pages, but I seem to have 28 pages. Was the reduced page count as a result of industrial action, or was the issue I received missing four pages. Any hel...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Not bad. I struck a bit of gold as far as the Birthday week for me was concerned, as I recently picked up an issue of The Beezer from 27/2/65 (so this issue would have been released during the week of 15/2/65 and 20/2/65, which is the timeframe I'm looking for, as they usually date the comics for a ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

What was the date on the 1965 issue, Alan?

The reason I asked, is because I am on the hunt for comics from 1965 around my birthday (around February)

With staff from D. C. Thomson reading this forum, I wouldn't be surprised if something similar for "The Dandy" come out down the track.
