Re: comics on c-d rom

Oh yes, that reminds me, I could legally give scans to other people if they already owned the comics. Which might be nice for all those collectors with their mint condition copies they never read. And as Phil says, if someone else helped create the archive, it would surely be on the very light side ...

Re: comics on c-d rom

The problem is you don't actually own the work you'd be copying. All you have paid for is a copy of it - the right to copy it again belongs to the owner of the artwork, if that makes sense? Actually that's not true, or every time you copied a CD to mp3 to play on your computer or mp3 player (or mad...

Nooooo! Don't add any more to my already lengthy shopping list.

*sigh*

I've just read some stuff about Princess Tina, which also looks pretty cool.

The things you miss when you are nine years old, eh?

Re: Strips where the artist intervenes

The idea possibly comes from a Daffy Duck cartoon where the animator continually redraws reality around Daffy to make life difficult for him, eventually pulling back to reveal that the animator is Bugs Bunny. I don't recall the title.

Re: Comic book styles from around the world

What, no mention of the fantastically popular (in the Philippines) Darna ? To be honest, the whole thing is so slight that it's not surprising so much is incorrect or just plain missing. When you boil down such a lot of information into such a tiny fluff piece, you can't say much more than "lots of ...

Re: Comics UK Comic?

Have you considered publishing online as a webcomic? Production costs are minimal and it gives you a global audience. It also gives you something to show potential publishers when you want to produce a paperback collection. Assuming you don't just do it yourself through Lulu or the like, and sell it...

Re: comics on c-d rom

I feel like I've dived into a deep and murky pool, as I indicated in my introductory post that I'm intending to create a digital archive of girls comics. Is it piracy? Actually, no. it's not illegal to make a copy of anything you legally own. It all depends what I do with it afterwards. I'm certainl...

Bring back Misty! There's nothing for Goth girls to read these days except those stupid sparkly vampire stories.

Greetings and salutations

Hi everyone, I'm Mari and I guess it's nostalgia for the comics of my youth that got me interested in hunting up old copies of '70's girls' comics. But I also hate the idea of all these stories being lost, so I decided to start building a digital archive of Tammy and Jinty . Misty would be on the li...
