Re: What comics do you read on a regular basis?

Still reading Commando regularly. I now find I am dipping into Rover and Wizard (both versions) on a more regular basis. Also, and I am still blaming Paw Broon for this (Only kidding Stephen  You know I am thoroughly enjoying going down all those rabbit holes ) in the fact that I am now hip de...

More hardbacks! House of Hammer featuring all the comic strips from Dez Skinn’s 1970’s magazine. Plus The Dracula File from Scream. Then one softback - The Life of Charlie “Chas” Grigg - a great biography.
I have been eyeing up that biography. Is it good?

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I picked up a nice batch of randoms which included 5 of the Fleetway paperback Blackback crime stories. It also included 2 Holiday Specials of which one was a Western and the other a Space one. Not to mention Eagle Picture Library 1 and 2.

I have to say I was really disappointed that the digital Spellbound never materialized and I was hoping for an actual printed copy too. I wonder what happened to it?
And welcome back Helen aka Helsbels.

Fear not good reader, your friendly neighbourhood stalker... er, no I mean superfan. Definitely no stalking involved...

I have spoken to the great and the good within those walls and I have been assured that it's a tidy up of social media and that the Spellbound download will be back in the New Year.

Twins - A Discussion on the Independent Picture Library Publishers

This is a subject that I fiercely resisted getting involved in, but thanks to the persistence of Paw Broon, I got interested despite myself. Stephen has long posited that there is some connection between all the small Picture Libraries. So I have kept digging and digging and this is what I have foun...

Jimmy Glen

For those fond of the D C Thomson funnies, you might like this.

I am going to be speaking to Jimmy Glen soon and I hope to arrange an interview with him. Does anyone have any questions they would like to add in?

Re: Sugar Jones from Pink

Scheduled for release next August . Anyone know much about it? Oh my lord, this is an instant want! Sugar Jones, the title character is a bit of a fading starlet trying to stay in fashion and always drops herself in it each episode but is usually saved from herself by her Girl Friday, Susie. The ar...

Someone was at Thought Bubble and picked up a spare freebie of the Third World War preview and it arrived today. As did my subscription copies of Commando.

Re: MCM Vs Showmasters

Jimbo, it depends on where you live and exactly who you want to see. Portsmouth Comic Con has some awesome comic artist guests. As does the LICAF in Kendall. MCM or Showmasters are great for US centric comics but not really that great if you're only into British comics. Seeing the cosplayers can be ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Forgot to say that I picked up 173 picture libraries at the auction on Wednesday. To give you an idea of how random a batch it is. I had a Valiant, a Brown & Watson Conflict Library, two Micron Cowboy Adventure Libraries, a Commando, four Starblazers, 3 Football PSM, 20 plus Blue Jeans Romance Stori...
