Re: CLZ comic app

A couple of collectors that I know have it and swear by it. However, one is a major US comics collector. The other is a mix of UK and US and says that you can add to it for other users to use the information.

Both have collections over the 15k mark.

Re: Mad finishes publication.

It was quite sad to read that. Mad was not my thing but I dipped in and out and they could do some really great stuff, but a 67 year run is never a bad thing.

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Today's arrival was a baker's dozen of Victor annuals and a mixed bag of 20 Picture Library Holiday Specials. I already had some and they allowed me to upgrade the condition of my collection and filled in a few more gaps.

Re: Weather or not...

I give you Pete Sutherland's work on Alf Tupper with W H Oami for the fog or Ted Rawlings for his blizzard scenes in The Swordmaker.

Or or... oh I think I had better stop before I go through all of them!

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?

I have finally reached a position in which I don't really need any more story papers, either for boys or girls. However, I do tend to look in on 30th Century's website every couple of weeks or so, just on the offchance that I might be able to fill the odd gap or two. I think it's the completist wit...

Re: Buffalo Brave - any scans

"The material we are looking for are the numbers from the Wizard collection (DC Thomson) No. 136-147. The material to be scanned would be only the pages of Buffalo Brave, the 3 of each delivery and the covers that refer to Buffalo Brave, 38 pages in total." I do have the full run of Buffalo Brave ,...

I have the opposite problem. I search by name and end up with 171,000 results! And that's for Starblazer!

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I don't rightly know if we should. Meanwhile back at the Double C ranch, the collection was supplemented by a donation from Luxembourg. In this donation was a nice chunk of picture libraries, a huge pile of comic reference books, a nice chunk of an Italian comic supplement ABC Dei Regazzi that featu...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I'm in the smelly as not only did I get the 102 Battles delivered on Monday, I got a nice assortment of Adventure, Wizard, Hotspur and Rover delivered yesterday consisting of 330 issues ranging from 1938 to at least one from 1959 but most are in the 1940-1952 range. I then added insult to injury wit...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Nice finds all. Well my boo-boo purchase arrived today. Why is it a boo-boo? Well, I had intended to make the person buying it pay a little more to the charity selling it and I did. Only in this case, it was me! So I have ended up with a good scattering of Battles mainly from 85-88 but missing...

You know that moment when you get information from an artist that you can't share with anyone else, but you have to tell someone? That's right now!
