Re: The Comp

Cheers. The recent documentary about Bros on BBC four, brought back a few memories of schools in the mid 80s. Worth checking out even if you weren't a fan of the music. It's on iPlayer now.

The Comp

I remember reading some of my sister's Nikki comics in the 80s and the one that stands out was the Comp. I just wandered if it ever came to a conclusion of any kind. Did it change focus to different years in the new term? Had some great Grange Hill type story lines. (Well the first 7or 8 seasons any...

Re: Hachette draw the marvel way! Magazine.

Okay thanks. I won't be getting any more. Guess it's probably subscription and online only. Probably the same with all magazine collections .the interest tails off after a few months.

Hachette draw the marvel way! Magazine.

Just wondered out of interest if this magazine is still going. I stopped after about issue 60. The quality of the materials and the content wasn't great value in the long run. I think Whsmith stopped stocking it a long time ago.,but I did see Forbidden Planet selling new issues after that.

Re: Leopard lime st 2

Yeah apart from the Beatles book I have ended up getting all the fleetway/ipc reprints. They look so much better on the shelf compared to the old titan reprints from the 80s and 90s.

Re: Leopard lime st 2

Yes a great start to 2019 so far along with Fran of the Floods . Invasion 1984 looks a little similar to mars attacks and has no relation to the Bill Savage stories from Gerry Finley day and Pay Mills as far as I can see. The only other one for 2019 is Wildcat Turbo Jones which I know little about.

Re: Rebellion Purchase Comic Cuts & Look In

I see what you mean £70 for just over 100 pages. Stunning art though. Here's hoping rebellion can get it down to something a bit more affordable.

Re: Rebellion Purchase Comic Cuts & Look In

The trigian empire and The Silent Three collections would be likely I think. Knowing rebellion they will put a broad variety with a few surprises in there.

Oh okay fair enough. Wonder if the Look-in tv comic strips will have limitations due to various studios owning the rights.

Re: Rebellion Purchase Comic Cuts & Look In

The article mentions Valiant. I assumed Rebellion already had the rights to it. Hence the one eyed Jack book from last summer???
