Re: Mad finishes publication.

I am a MAD subscriber and have been for the last couple of years. I read that they were going over to all-reprints from the issue after next (though this has not effected their sub costs). The only exception I believe is that the end of the year issue will still have fresh content. It is sad though ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Just received Buster dated 25/07/1964. What a great comic. I always thought it had originally been a halfway house between the likes of Lion / Valiant and Whoopee! / Whizzer & Chips . Instead, it was an adventure comic like Lion and Valiant . What a shame it changed. PS Must say, I really like the n...

Re: Commando Announcement

Well my latest sub came through the door today and even though I was never a Peter Flint fan back in the 70s, I loved the Warlord story - a mixture of war and James Bond. Looking forward to reading other stories featuring not just Flint but other classic characters. Still would be great if DCT prod...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I just got my latest batch of Commandos including number 5255 which has Lord Peter Flint AKA Warlord.

Good read and a welcome return of one of the 70s DCT legends. Definitely one for my collection.

Re: Will The Dandy ever return?

I never thought i'd see Buster/Cor or Scream/Misty or Tammy/Jinty back in shops . True and if you put it in that context, then The Dandy has never really been gone. There is the Summer Special (despite the attempt to discontinue it - thanks for the reprieve, WHSmith  ) and the Annual. Not t...

Hey! 2000AD has as much history as the others. ;)
