Re: Ken Reid's 70's comic work
Has he been inspired by Basil Wolverton to some extent for his monsters?

Re: World Cup comics?
It seems there has been a comic strip featuring the mascot for the 2010 SA World Cup:

Re: World Cup comics?
I vaguely remember the TV cartoon for the 1982 World Cup and the CG series for the 2002 one but I don't know of any comics related to the World Cup as such.

Re: Are you a collector, or just a fan?
If someone is a fan of a comics creator, character, or comic, then naturally they collect those comics. Fan. Collector. Same thing. If they feel a need to collect every issue of a comic, or everything a creator has done, or every comic a certain character is in, then they're a completest. I see, th...

Re: Are you a collector, or just a fan?
I had never thought there was a difference between 'collector' and 'fan'... I suppose 'collector' means someone who is obsessive about it and 'fan' is more casual or am I wrong? In this case, I guess I am a fan: I do collect comics but I don't fret if I have a few issues missing in any particular co...

You have an excellent avatar, Nagorama! We bid you most welcome....... Hello ^^ I always found Tiger Tim cute. Ooh not heard much about Spanish comics. For some reason I imagine the Spanish (and South American) adventure comics to have the same style as British ones. Probably because from the 60's ...

Re: New member :)
Welcome! Very excited to hear about your French / Spanish comics etc. You'll have to fill us in! I have a love affair with Asterix and Obelix and Lucky Luke. I've encountered Toutuff before but not much beyond that. Oh, unless you include graphic novels? I recently bought Adele Blanc-sec if that me...

Re: New member :)
Greetings. Your last comment makes me wonder just how many different titles have been issued in Britain since Comic Cuts and illustrated Chips in the late 19th century. Sequential art rules out story papers from that total. Hello, I borrowed a book about British Comics by Paul Gravett (a journalist...

Hello, I have been having a love affair with comics since I was little and I am interested in any form of sequential art from anywhere in the world. I have grown up with Franco-Belgian and American comics to start with, then Spanish and British comics a bit later. I live in the South-East and I am h...
