Re: What comics did you buy today?
At the Manchester Film & Comic Con this last weekend, I got Lew Stringer's Brickman Begins and Gary Whitlock's Creatures of the Weirdieverse, both very nice!
Reviews etcetera will be done when I find a spare moment (I've heard they exist?).

Re: Most generous ever free gift in a comic?
I remember getting a 12ft. balloon with the Beano one summer in the nineties, that was a bit mad. Lasted almost a year as well. The Beano was also responsible for starting an obsession of mine that must've cost a fair bit over the years when they gave away a packet of Pogs on the cover - likewise wh...

Re: Humour or Adventure - Do you have a preference?
Humour all the way, the vast majority of adventure stuff bores me senseless - although I'll give an exception to horror comics, those I can stomach.
I'll read adventure stuff if it's not being played straight (ie: a lot of 2000AD, Sonic the Comic, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and so on).

I asked the wee lad if he'd like a Beano or something, but he's currently of the "Star Wars or Nothing" mindset

Re: What comics did you buy today?
One of the shops on my road had a box full of annuals outside it yesterday. The guy said "Help yourself" so I got the Dandy Book 1990...
Noticed a Roy of the Rovers and a couple of Beanos I already had, plus a few others... Not complaining for free, unclipped as well!

Re: What comics did you buy today?
The new issue of Viz... That's probably the last time I'll buy it for a long time, it's declined RAPIDLY over the last couple of years. £3.20 I can't afford will no longer be wasted each month, bah. It's saddening, it really is!

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Beauty, cheers for showing them - is it the same sort of story structure, as in Nemo wakes up at the end of each page?
Any single one of those original Nemo pages deserves to be framed and admired.
