Re: British Comic Swapmeet 28th September

thanks to Steve "Action Man" MacManus", Mike Dorey, Alan Hebden and James Nicholas for being kind enough to give up of their time and let us fanboy all over him. I had to laugh when I was buying comics off of Stephen and he just apologised and left me as he had to do and see one of the professional...

For any one interested, March 2020 will be in Glasgow. Swapmeet 5 means that I now only need four issues to complete my run of Commando to date. The lowest issue is 370 and the highest is 4193.
There's also very early provisional talk of the #7 one being in Banbury, Oxfordshire in July 2020

British Comic Swapmeet 28th September

Just a reminder that the 5th Swapmwet is being held this coming Saturday and Sunday in Watford. I know at least a couple of forum members will be there as well as a few artist and writer guests. It should be a great chance to fill gaps, start new collections and talk about our shared hobby! I’m not ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?

I've just managed to purchase a complete set of Once Upon a Time by IPC from 1969-1972. I vaguely remember having this comic back at that time and I picked up a few last year and they definitely brought back memories so hopefully this set will be enjoyed as much as they originally were by this littl...

Re: RELUCTANTLY SELLING COLLECTION

So sorry to hear that you have to sell them Bri, that must be a really tough decision. I’d also be interested in the Misty set as well as possibly the Busters. Drop me a message when you get a chance please with prices as well as where you are as it may be easier for me to pick them up than you to p...

Re: What am I doing wrong?

I have the opposite problem. I search by name and end up with 171,000 results! And that's for Starblazer! Same for me but with ant title I'm looking for it seems to bring up every comic on ebay, this will hit my sales and every comic seller on ebay as people give up looking after a few pages. I've ...

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

Has anyone noticed that eBay has changed its comic categories. There are no longer lists of individual titles to choose as a category. I noticed people choosing "comic strips" as the category. I didn't choose Comic strips, Ebay has automatically switched 99% of my listing to that heading. There's a...

Re: Ebay - you want how much for it???

I think putting comics in the bin is even worse. That's a horrific thought to me, regardless of condition. I've got to agree with you on that as I just can't do it! I came up with a solution last year though, which was to put any comics and annuals that were that ropey in a drawer and when I had a ...
