The only other thing I can think of is Boo which is a spooky kids comic coming out soon - but I do believe that is out in the autumn.AndyB wrote:Nigel has stated in comments to that blog post that August 27th has nothing to do with DCT.

Re: Digital Dandy
I can't believe this. The number 13 really is unlucky for The Digital Dandy.

It was sad yet expected. Shame they never reached their hundredth issue though.

True but just not as many if they can help it. But yes, a few reprints would be nice - perhaps a reprint of Jonah?Peter Gray wrote:Nothing wrong with reprints if they are classics like these..
Tom Thumb would also be on my list..

Re: The Beano 75 years issue whats inside...its guessing tim
Because I was pretty bored, I decided to type up the 75 stories I'd like to see in the 75th Anniversary Beano Special. I'm not too sure about a bunch of these but there aren't actually that many stories to work with as The Dandy had a far wider amount of stories. I've gone for a mixture of older and...

Re: Free four page Beano with Time Out
I was surprised (and pleased) that joke made it though. Time out is read exclusively by grown ups. So I felt something for them early on was needed. It's not something that I would have used in the regular comic. If my 8 year old read it he would think that it was nice that they made friends. Viz w...

Re: Free four page Beano with Time Out
I can't believe that joke about Gnasher and the corgi got into the final script - that joke seemed to suit a tasteless Viz knock-off rather than appear in a comic strip which only last year was about a kid who loved inventing and was incredibly soft. I can't stand it when product placement is in com...

Re: Digital Dandy
Since the Dandy shop is horrendously unclear about this, simply listing prices for buying credits without, as far as I can make out, explaining how many credits you need to purchase anything, can anyone confirm exactly how many credits you need to buy issues of the digital Dandy? I see on the first...

Re: Digital Dandy
Well, I've only watched one Dandy TV episode and I can say it must be one of the dullest things I've watched on YouTube. The humour (if you can call it that) is mainly toilet humour and bad jokes - plus, they need to include a Dandy logo in the corner just to remind you you are watching something ab...

Re: Laura H's new character from Topper...
As a further clue, it's a character who has been in the Beano before. So Tricky Dicky, Splodge or Fred's Bed, correct? I'm taking a bet on Tricky Dicky or Splodge. Would prefer Send for Kelly but either of those would do! Tricky Dicky may be too similar to the Beano strips at present such as Roger ...

Re: Andy Fanton strip coming soon
Really excited for tomorrow's Beano; I'm glad to see them using original characters as well. It's good that The Beano have been following what went well for The Dandy because I for one really enjoyed how the comic always stayed fresh. It's also good to see Andy Fanton's single-page comic strip hasn'...

Re: Andy Fanton strip coming soon
The Beano shouldn't just keep a group of artists and have them drawing new series every now and then because then we see nothing different and it's unfair to those who missed out. If you spread the work too thin amongst too many artists it reaches a point where it's not profitable for anyone to do ...

Re: Andy Fanton strip coming soon
I also think the Funsize Funnies should be on a rotor because a few of the Funsize Funnies (particularly Biffo the Bear and Gnash Gnews) have become stale by now and should be replaced with new material. I wouldn't want to see them end forever though so there certainly should be a rotor - The Beano...
