Re: REWIND TV

I saw Robert Vaughn a few years back when he was in the Carrick theatre production of 12 Angry Men. Martin Shaw was also in it.

Re: Fleetway Files Vol. 6

When PayPal asked me for passport ID after several years of using it I just stopped using them as I'd never owned a passport. I now buy and sell on ebay using my bank account and debit card. No more unnecessary fees to PayPal either.

Re: REWIND TV

Several Man From UNCLE two parters were released as feature films over here. It gave fans a chance to see their heroes in colour as we only had black and white tv in the 1960s.

Re: What comics DIDN'T you buy today?

I presume you have the Comic Art of Charlie Chaplin hardback book? Maybe there's an image in there, although Boys Cinema didn't contain comic strips so maybe not.

Re: Talking Pictures TV

Just had another of my emails read out on the Footage Detectives. This was about the old bagwash service before we had washing machines.

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Which reminds me that Buster reprinted a miniature version of Buster #1. You cut it out from Buster each week and folded the pages to make a complete copy of issue 1 (but black and white). I have a copy somewhere.

Re: What comics did you buy today?

Came across my copy of Buster number 1 at the weekend. Scared to put it on ebay in case buyer complains of non receipt and I have to refund them. Losing money and comic. There are people who do such a thing and ebay gives them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: THE PRISONER 1967 TV SHOW

I watched Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea when it was first broadcast here but not a great fan, it was the lack of female cast members. Land of the Giants on the other hand had the beautiful Deanna Lund. My sister hated her because she always got the attention of the hero Steve Burton. I think there...

Re: REWIND TV

On the other hand they're showing Bread which I couldn't stand. Goodnight Sweethewrt was a good idea but Nicholas Lindhurst is totally miscast, he's not up to fronting a series. No charisma. Can't watch New Tricks after he joined the cast.

Re: THE PRISONER 1967 TV SHOW

Man From UNCLE is also my favourite tv show and, sadly, I still carry a home made UNCLE ID card with me every day. In the 60s I loved spy shows like UNCLE, Get Smart, Amos Burke Secret Agent, I Spy as well as It Takes a Thief and T.H.E. Cat.

Re: REWIND TV

Let's not forget the That's TV channels, they've now started repeating Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads. They're also repeating the Doctor in Charge series but in the early hours for some reason. I'm also enjoying Nearest and Dearest. Odd that Hylda Baker hated Jimmy Jewel and they never spoke o...
