Help identifying Jack & Jill Holiday Special
I have some colour separation films for a Jack & Jill Holiday Special which isn't in the gallery: http://www.comicsuk.co.uk/specials.php?ComicTitleID=89 It's a far more modern issue, with a price of 55p on the cover. I'd post scans but would need to do them all and composite them in photoshop. Anyon...

...And here's Captain Staedtler and his Cosmic Pens and Pencils!!! Believe it or not this Jack kirby rip-off actually had his own series for a few weeks during 1978! http://i46.tinypic.com/2ij17k6.jpg - Phil Rushton Some of the frames are ripped off from Giolotti's Gold Key 'Star Trek' art. Frame 2...

Re: Why are men collecting old girls' comics these days?
Because, like myself, I suspect we all read our sister's comics (and she, mine!) and in retrospect we realise a lot of comic artists and writers we know and respect also contributed to that genre. I wish I had saved all my sister's Buntys and Mandys and Judys. All she has now are the annuals, and sh...

Dave, I've PMed you with my requirements. Let me know if it interests you or not. Also (because I think I forgot) an estimate of time and cost.

Re: Hey! New member have a look at my work.
Much prefer your new style. The comic stuff I glimpsed looked like colourised photocopies. Lent it a element of realism and pseudo-grittiness but it didn't work for me after a while.
Are you open to commissions in your new style, and do you have other examples please?

Re: John Canning - Dr Who artist 1960s-70s
Nice find.
It' amazing how many artists in the 50s had a 'realistic' turn of illustration before getting their own style.
Incidentally, does anyone think this is also John Canning's work?

Re: Enrique Romero
Here's another example of Galvez/Romero artwork from the 1977 Diana Annual - though I must admit that this one displays rather more of the 'attributes' normally associated with Romero - particularly in his 'Axa' strip for The Sun! Yes, I could be wrong but Romero's style uses finer lines an...

Re: Enrique Romero
That might explain the sketchiness of this work Phil. I'll have to keep an open mind regarding this, especially when David Roach (allegedly) identified pages of Kim Raymond's work for 'Look-in' as being Romero as well!

Re: Enrique Romero
There was another Romero strip, 'The Fab Four', which appears in the Diana annuals for 1974 and 1975.

The strip is a bit sketchier than usual but yes, I would say that's his style.
