This issue was covered thoroughly somewhere on the Forum before you joined, abacus, but not really all that long ago. Try the search button.

Thanks for that, the point was does there come a time through lack of space that you have to rethink your collecting strategy.

Re: collecting

I have a wife to contend with, so most of my comics/annuals are kept in a designated place. If I need to spread out beyond that I tend to hide them in cupboards or drawers and cover them so they are not immediately visible, it's called keeping the peace.

Re: collecting

I don't know how you folks get on with storing comics and books as they take up a lot of room, it's for this reason I put more thought into what I buy these days and concentrate the pre-70s annuals/comics if I can, whereas to start with I bought nearly every annual I saw.

Re: collecting

Highs of collecting , finding that rare comic or book at an amazing low price. The lows, getting home with the annual you,ve bought only to find a page missing or some budding artist has been let loose with coloured felt tip pens.

Re: Collectors etiquette

I also check out charity shops and carboots and don't really want to pay a lot.I've passed up lots of beano comics from the 80s because I believe most collectors will have them.I look out for Sparky comics and other comics which I think might be slightly rarer.I did have a choice once between two ca...

Re: annuals

Yes I have looked at Tony's trading before ,they have a lot of world distributers annuals but I was looking for a more complete list.I have to disagree with pre 70s being all story as I've come across many mostly western comic books prior to that period.World distribution books are usually easily id...

Re: collecting

Golden age comics can be read online at at comic book+ and fury comics, although this is not quite the same as owning them.As for ebay I know there are some available but this depends on the price you wish to pay to follow your hobby, there are bargains to be had but also serious prices.
