Re: Scream & Misty Halloween Special, Volume II.
This may also be of interest to people "Bite Me" Magazine (which I am not familiar with), is also stepping up to fill the Misty/Scream/Spellbound gap as a new mystery picture paper. Including 2 Misty reprints Who Killed Teacher and Twin Catastrophes . I am quite intrigued and have ordered a copy, lo...

Yes, I hadn't read that fanzine before so I was not familiar with it.Tammyfan wrote: They are reprinting Mint Condition from the fanzine Misty Special?

Re: Scream & Misty Halloween Special, Volume II.
I noticed majority female protagonists even in the "Scream" stories. Bookworm I was already familiar with, Mint Condition I didn't realise was a reprint at first, I really liked that story, so glad they decided to reprint. I think one of the biggest problems with this is that a lot of the stories ar...

Re: Click & Collect sales
I hadn't sold anything on ebay for a while, but currently have a collection of Nikkis listed and there does seem to be changes since I last listed. Like I didn't realise potential bidders could put an offer in, that will then disappear if someone places a bid! Will have to look more carefully at how...

Re: When did The Happy Days End?
Also, I'm pretty sure that there were times when the same storyline was repeated with new artwork. This would have fitted in with Fleetway's assumption that nearly all their readers would automatically move on after four or five years to be replaced by a brand new readership. It'd be interesting to...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I have to say i preferred sniper elite to vigilante and i love most of the characters like Max the computer and Blake Edmunds from my eagle reading days, and i'm not a big fan of war stories though i would love a full set of victor and Battle  but i hope Vigilante becomes a regular comic.does ...

Re: The Vigilant, - new comic from Rebellion
So I got a copy from Forbidden Planet the other day. I think it will need a re-read but I liked it well enough that I'd be interested in an ongoing. Other than Leopard from Lime Street, I'm not very familiar with the characters, which may be advantage in some ways, as I can take them as fresh charac...

Short story about Blackbird sunbathing.
This one's a bit of a long shot but I've a query from someone trying to track down a short story her sister wrote: "My sister wrote a small story about a blackbird sunbathing in the garden and won some money for writing it around 1973 in Mandy comic. How would I find this copy Hope you can help" I'v...

I just listened to the Classic British Comics Panel from San Diego Comic Con. Really interesting, worth a listen:

Re: The Vigilant, - new comic from Rebellion
I popped into my local WHS Smiths today but they didn't have a copy so will have to try elsewhere. I'm interested in reading it, though not in an eager rush to get my copy.
I would love to see them produce more new material, but I would I'd prefer to see a monthly Scream & Misty given the choice.

Re: The Bubble Ballerinas
Thanks for that Tammyfan. Interesting story though it unfortunately seems to have one of those narratives of the fat person being ugly and mean and all the heroes are "pretty" girls

The Bubble Ballerinas
I've had request from someone looking for more details/scans on the story The Bubble Ballerinas which appeared in Bunty #823 (20 October 1973). It was about a ballet school where the girls were kidnapped by mysterious bubbles. I only had the first issue myself and I haven't been able to track it dow...
