Surely that answer is obvious? It's not a charity or a non-profit company.karl wrote:This could have been so much better. Why ape american comics when the characters came from uk comics.
Annoying that the writers felt they had to ape a different format.

Re: Game: Name Your Equivalent
Comic: 2000AD . Equivalent: Warrior . To me, Warrior was like an older version of 2000AD before it matured. Any of the strips could easily exist in 2000AD today. If DCT ever produced anything remotely close to Charley's War, it was Warlord's Kampfgruppe Falken

It's not in 79-81 or 83-85 or 87. Sounds more like a strip maybe Battle would have.

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
The first strip was in the Triumph but both the Champion and Gem preceeded that but only with an advert for Superman appearing in Triumph. These were scanned in an old ComicsUK post:

Re: Ebay sales: Good price for the seller, buyer or both??
Someone got the first appearance of Superman in a British comic (advertisement that is) for £2.50 with postage included. The seller has no idea what he's just sold!

I mentioned that to one of the editors at the time when I was looking to publish a Billy the Cat collection. DCT weren't interested then but maybe this has changed?

Would you give 20000 to a new seller with no, maybe even negative, feedback? Might be the case.

You will never have read the excellent Radioactive Man, which parodies, amongst others, the 60s X-Men, the hipster DC Comics, New Gods, the Golden-Age goodies of Radio-Man and All-Squid Comics, the Grim'n'Gritty Washmen, Steranko https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/simpsons/images/c/cd/Radioactive_M...

Yup. They are in packs, not individuals. You would need to see them and ask if they can split.

Got a couple of Dr Who and a Planet of the Apes (Brown & Watson) annuals. A deep sense of nostalgia, as they were bought for me as Xmas presents previously.
