Re: Micron Combat Library
I picked up Combat picture library 193 today. I have indexed it onto Grand Comics Database but they have the cover listed as an Overseas Edition. Looking at their image gallery I see some issues are priced at 1/3 whereas most are 1/-. Am I right in assuming the 1/3 issues are overseas copies? Steve...

Re: Champ Comic 1984-85 'We Are United'
Pete Foster is still alive and kicking down under. Not bad for a 90 year old artist who only started out in the 1970s in his late 40s.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
I did fairly well this week. I bought a big chunk of Victors circa 1967 to 1973 (384 to 639) and most of them took me from brown to off-white. I have made a nice wee profit on selling those which have been replaced and to top it all off, I found I had bought 6 intact Summer Specials when I was going...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
As an infant my first comic collection, consisting only of Pippin and Playland, was thrown away by my mother. I’ve always meant to go back and reacquire those very early 1970s issues. Now the first few dozen are due to roll in, so I can relive the delights of The Moonbeans, The Herbs and Mary Mungo...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
A very large batch of early 2000ADs along with an eclectic mix of 1970s and 1990s comics. Bonus find was intact Monster Funs ranging from issue 1 to the last issue.

War Picture Library Battle of Britain arrived today. With Ian's art cleaned up and half up from the usual picture library size, I am looking forward to this treat!

It's so nice to see original art without the header or any other branding on it.

The first one could be Joe Colquhoun. Please note that is a "could be" not a "definite".

Abyss, keep posting. It's rare that we swing any sort of thread killer in here as half the fun is seeing where a thread goes.

Re: Jumping Frog
It reminds me of a wild west story where an eastern dude tries to impress some locals in a tough western saloon by showing them his Derringer. One of them says "If you shoot me with that thing, and I find out about it, there'll be trouble". All I have been able to think of all the way through this ...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
That is an epic find George as those annuals are going for over £100 in the UK. I took delivery yesterday of a bit of a grail. Issues 1 to 69 of Spellbound and it does what is says on the tin as they kept me spellbound all last night. Unfortunately a couple will need to be replaced but that's better...

Check you two out, Next it'll be long slow walks along the beach.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I have cut my gaps to five in the Commando run. I weakened and bought the issue of 370 that has been on the Bay for a while.
