Unsual Spin off Annuals.

Hi Phil, yep that sounds like "He wants to be - an Eagle book of careers" featuring such memorable (half-page) strip as 'He wants to be a bricklayer' / plumber / farm worker / missionary / atomic energy engineer / book binder 47 carers were covered during the strip (a number of which were then repri...

Mystery comic - anyone seen this before?

It bugged me that I had forgotten the name of that Eagle style Comic I mentioned so I dug out my copy of Best of Eagle Flies Again 1, which I thought had mentioned it. It was in fact called Terra-Nova, the undersea strip was Ocean Interpol. The article was a tribute by John Ridgeway to the man behi...

True War

Jim Watson

Yep, it's def. an oddity this one what with the 2 strips being a mix of photos and artwork.

Produced monthly in 1978 it only lasted 3 issues and is quite small, it reminds me of a partwork rather than a comic.

If anyone has a copy of #3 I'd love to buy it

Death or Glory!

The DCT ones can be shot from the artwork as DCT still own the artwork, the Fleetway ones have to be shot from the comics as Fleetway only own the comics, the artwork having long since been disposed of. At a recent talk by Steve Holland and David Roach at the ICA, David Roach said that when going th...
