Here's the cover. Sorry it is so small, but when I scan it at anything higher than 50dpi it exceeds the max file size and won't submit. Any tips on how to get around this problem?

All I can add is that it lasted until (at least) issue 7 (dated July 31st to Aug 13th, 1987).

Kashgar, I never knew that Big One had reduced in size during the latter part of its run. Do you think it was an editorial decision taken to make Buster and Big One seem more compatible before amalgamation, or was it a last ditch attempt to stave off cancellation? The Big One was indeed true to its name. According to my measurements it is just over 21 and a half by 15 inches. It had 12 pages, which featured reprinted comic strips from Knockout and elsewhere. Have just read some of the previous comments I missed- and now think that Denis' book may have been incomplete. It does seem that Bob Monkhouse may have drew for the Beano, even if it was only perhaps a single strip. Does anyone have a copy of this Beano? Would love to see the strip.
