What about the other Comics?!
I couldn't decide which I preferred as a kid. There was too much choice! Loved the old Commandos and did have a full run of the Crunch. I did love 2000AD when it came out, but couldn't get it as it would have meant getting rid of one of the comics we were getting and that I couldn't do. (That ...

British motor torpedo boat crew. Skipper & number two were the principles. One series of stories ran with them operating a captured German E-boat. From memory there were several story runs in episode form. This would have been Killer Kennedy with Doyle as his No 2. Definitely Victor First World War...

I have just read the Copper story and it is a very richly drawn piece. Oddly reminiscent of Calvin & Hobbes, but not as cutesy. Am I making sense here?

Re: Fleetway's Battler Britton is back
While on the subject of Garth Ennis-written war stories, I'd like to recommend his two War Stories collections. Published a year or two back by Vertigo, each book contains four long war stories, drawn by such artists as David Lloyd, Dave Gibbons, Carlos Ezquerra and John Higgins. Rather a lot of sw...

Fleetway's Battler Britton is back
Wasn't just the money. Off to sunnier climes for 3 years and 90% of my collection has to go into storage! As I just can't take that much comics with me.

Shaqui,
hunches of yours, you trust must! Original episodes of Starhawk were done by Terry Patrick and Ian Kennedy.
Do you have any further info on Mike White, as it is not a name that I have seen put about before.

Nice one Lew. One more commission can only be good news!
That looks like being a kickass comic. But, as I have still to get Albion and other assorted goodies, it might be a while before I buy it. But no denying that it looks good.

typical UK comics
As Lew is one of the contributors to UK comics, there is little to add as The Beano and The Dandy are the two that everybody will know and are still going strong. The only others that Brits will still remember are those that were character-led such as Roy Of The Rovers, Dan Dare (of Eagle fame) or B...

Re: What Annuals are actually still produced?
I thought the last Hotspur was the one dated 1992 (published Christmas 1991) as seen at http://www.comicsuk.co.uk/images/Annuals/Hotspur/HotspurAnnual_1992.jpg and http://www.tonystrading.co.uk/galleries/annuals/hotspur.htm Does this mean I need to start looking for a Hotspur 1993 and a Hotspur 199...
