Re: Thoughts on collecting comics
I can also appreciate someone is doing this for posterity (although it depends what happens with the collection - poor old Denis Gifford being a case in point) I'm assuming, starscape, that you would have wanted the whole of Denis's collection to be displayed somewhere, perhaps in a kind of living ...

That's it exactly!Lew Stringer wrote: Same here. I still have loads unread. It's a case of buying comics you want at the time they're available, as hesitation might mean they're gone forever.

Re: Thoughts on collecting comics
One question comes to mind though; have you read them all? (If so, that's even more impressive. :)) Can't admit to being that impressive Lew. I've certainly read a lot of them but I gave up on the idea long ago that I would ever be able to read them all. I don't mean to be rude but isn't that a lit...

Gareth Thomas RIP
Gareth Thomas, best known for playing Roj Blake in the 70s sci-fi Blake's 7, has died of heart failure. He was 71. A sad loss to the TV industry.

Just received the 1974 Dan Dare annual, which I found on ebay. Great book, it reprints The Red Moon Mystery and Safari in Space!

Re: Doctor Who Comic - launches February 26
Looks like the two Doctor Who titles are merging. Tales 4 is a story each for the 12th, 11th and 10th Doctors (issue 1 of year 2 from each of their comic book store versions). And the indicia in issue 3 refers to it as Volume 3. So DWC 6 (which concludes year 1 for the 12th and 11th Doctors) is the...

It's a shame, really, as the issues that are basicaly unsaleable are also te ones that are probably the most worth reading. 2000 AD is about the only title I can think of that you can say that about.
