Re: Need help on Maisie's Magic Eye
Lois was still in bed, and not in a very good mood really, due largely, I suspect, to having spent last night in their annexe on a sleepover with her schoolfriends Faye and Sienna, plus a load of food and sweets. Wow! How wrong can one be? I've been down in the Copperhouse for a couple of jars this...

Re: Trini Tinture in Princess Picture Libraries
Good stuff Goof! I am also now in contact with the artist's daughter and hoping to at some point get a complete list of titles and stories that she has worked on. I know it's a big task to bite off but apparently Trini has a notebook that is hopefully in a good state to get typed up, in due course (...

Re: Search for Story in Annual
Quite impressive! Though as mentioned above, a shame in some ways that there is no attempt at an explanation. However, it does leave a lot to the imagination which is always fun!

Re: Maria Dembilio
If you would be happy, Jenni, with scans of the five episodes of Let Me Be! between 296 (January 11 1997) and 300 (February 8 1997), which I would send through the post to you, I will be happy to find the appropriate amount of time over the next couple of days. I genuinely don't have anything like ...

Re: Maria Dembilio
I should have two more episodes of "Let Me Be" from #297 & #299, so I should be able to scan those in the next few days. I think I also have some complete stories I could add too, I'll have a look. Thanks Peace, that would be great if you could scan those two episodes and post them, much appreciated.

Re: Maria Dembilio
If you aren't able to get a complete scan of this story, would your correspondent be interested in a shorter, complete story? A possibility would be one of the stories that Maria Dembilio did for Mandy Annuals in the late 90's, around the time that she did this and other stories for M&J. There were...

Re: Phoenix's Future Plans
Paradise Park again this morning with Lois, Alex and Autumn. Four hours of play for them. I took The School In The Woods by Dorita Fairlie Bruce to keep me occupied and stave off boredom. It didn't entirely work because I was drafted in as some sort of arbiter in a dispute between Alex and Autumn. ...

Re: Maria Dembilio
An update on this: José Ruiz del Amor has now come back to me, asking for more scans of stories drawn by Mario Dembilio. Ideally he would love it if were possible for people to supply the subsequent episodes of Let Me Be! (which as Peace clarifies above appeared in M&J between #295 (04 January 1997)...

Re: What comics did you buy today?
https://www.dictionary.com/browse/slubberdegullion Thank you, Adam, for the clarification. I'm considering buying a more comprehensive dictionary the next time I go to Truro. I can't remember the last time I went there. I've been living down here in Hayle for five months, and the longest distance I...

Re: When did The Happy Days End?
I do like Wilson's art, and it's fascinating to see how his style evolved over the years. Until a few months ago Phil Clarke had virtually ALL the Happy Days artwork for sale in a pile several feet high, but I seemed to be the only one who ever bought any. Now it's all been donated to a museum or u...

Re: Need help on Maisie's Magic Eye
Hello all, I'm currently working on an index of the translations of Maisie's Magic Eye by French publisher Arédit in their digest-sized comics. Thanks to a copy of the contract between Arédit and Graph-Lit (the agency which represented IPC in Europe), I know that Arédit bought all stories published...

Carlos Ezquerra RIP
Very sorry to see (via Twitter) that Carlos Ezquerra has just died. The snippet from the Sun that shows up on a google search says 'The co-creator of Judge Dredd has died in Spain at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, it emerged today'. Alas!
