Re: Comics on TV
Here's one that you couldn't buy in the shops. Funo from an episode of The Army Game Series 4 Episode 10 (aired 27 Nov. 1959) - Officers and Gentlemen. I was watching it last night. It's obviously the Beano comic with the word 'Fun' placed over 'Bean'. Does anyone want to take a stab at what issue i...

Re: Comics UK will be down from 22:00 (BST) tonight (24/08/2
Well, it took a 'bit' longer than I had anticipated, but the website seems to be working okay now. The overhaul was a lot more involved than I had envisaged, but I got there in the end......hopefully. Who needs sleep, eh? Nothing has changed on the surface, but a fair bit has changed in the backgrou...

Comics UK will be down from 22:00 (BST) tonight (24/08/2016)
I am currently in the process of carrying out some very long overdue maintenance on Comics UK and will need to shut it down for a few hours tonight (24th August 2016). Work will start at 22:00 (BST), so please do not start writing a post around that time, because it will most probably get lost. I ap...

Re: Donald Trump/'Bad Bob Booth'
Yes, lets keep politics (and religion) off these forums. There are plenty of other places to spout off your feelings on these subjects, and you'll most probably get a more interesting debate if you do it there. Political (and religious) diatribe will only inflame feelings towards other members and p...

Re: Exciting News Inside - Comics UK V3
It never took off, I'm afraid. In a nutshell, too many other things took precedence. As soon as I got going, something else came along that meant this Comics UK project was pushed further back. I've still got 3 other projects to do before I can even contemplate this one. I keep adding to the list of...

Re: Annual gallery query
Hello Richard. When I upload all the Annuals to the website, and I don't have the actual annual myself, I need to use the information that I'm giving or have to hand. Usually the information comes from other websites, especially eBay. I've carried out a bit of investigation and cannot find this annu...

Re: Striker
Striker ran from 10th January 1970 to 4th March 1972 (113 issues). It then merged with a football paper to become Inside Football and Striker - Issue dated 11th March 1972. Here's a photo of the front cover of that first combined issue. I don't know how long this incarnation went on for, but I perso...

Re: Buzzer
The thinking behind that Steve is that these two issues were the only ones that I had at the time and I was completely unaware that the images had disappeared from the website. No great mystery or weird logic, I just didn't know that the images were missing. They have been re-uploaded now. I'm sure ...

Re: Automatic log out?
Indeed you do. I was just referring to Toxteth's mention of the, "You need to be logged in to post to the forum" (or suchlike) part of his post. I'm guessing the suchlike message was something else.

Re: Registering
Uncle Joshua, it's an anti-spambot counter measure and has worked fine since the forum's inception back in 2006. Also, you don't actually have to remember that combination of 'anti-spambot' characters after it has been successfully entered. As for remembering your actual password - if you tick the b...
