Re: What comics did you buy today?
Upgraded on a batch of July - Dec 1967 Sparky's. These were best condition one's I've come across since UK Comics member `Steve Zodiac` sold me a batch of pristine 1965 one's. You rarely see them in such fine condition as this.

Re: Recommended Comics Documentaries
The Jonathon Ross/Ditko documentary, I feel is decent enough except that Ditko wouldn't appear on camera! Personally, I felt that Ross dwelt too much on Spider Man with barely a word about Steve's work on `Dr Strange` which stretched him more as an artist in my view.

Re: Recommended Comics Documentaries
The Comics Brittania was repeated and I have both versions! The repeat gave a closing tribute to the fellow who wore the Deerstalker hat who had sadly passed away just after he contributed to the first documentary (Was he Ian Grey?)

Re: WHY DID `ODHAM'S FAIL?
Just to add- similar to Lew; I thought "Moon Madness" and "Legend Testers" were as good as it gets for UK adventure strips. I quite liked "Two Faces of Janus" as well! I just adored the fun strip "Dare-A-Day Davy" where Ken Reid really shone! Ken also transformed "The Nervs" strip, really making it ...

Re: WHY DID `ODHAM'S FAIL?
Thanks for such great input everyone! I could only afford `Pow` `Terrific`and `Fantastic` late 67 and when Fantastic swallowed Terrific, I was able to get Smash! Really sad when Fantastic bit the dust! I followed Smash even after its changeover in March 69! Harking back to Fantastic; by its closing ...

WHY DID `ODHAM'S FAIL?
If, like me, you fondly recall the days of the `Odham's` groups comics - namely `WHAM` `POW` `SMASH` TERRIFIC` and `FANTASTIC` . It came as quite a shock through 1968 that they finished so quickly. At one point in 1967 the five titles were on sale- but by Nov 1968 just `SMASH` incorporating `POW` an...

Re: Donald Trump/'Bad Bob Booth'
He'll find it more difficult to throw out personal abuse now- because he's now President Elect soon President! Nixon called those students killed at Kent State "Bums" and it rebounded on him! Trump amended his comments about the street protesters after his first tirade! As a private businessman `att...

Anyone remember that Nixon sent in the State Troopers on `Kent State` university in 1970- and look what happened there!

Re: Donald Trump/'Bad Bob Booth'
Barry Goldwater would have been a lot worse back in `64`. Anyhow; I voted for Brexit- so i'm used to this kind of thing! The EU is a far bigger threat in my opinion!

Re: What comics did you buy today?
At the moment- i'm after some of the later copies of `FANTASTIC` Nos 84, 86/7/8 In some ways- though only b/w the artwork looked better than US originals because pages were larger. Example is Fantastic no 73, the large `Dr Strange` 2 pager! Looks great!

Re: Sparky 1965 to 1973
Thanks Digi! Snip & Snap were a rather overlooked `Gem` in Spaky's history- hence my highlighting them in the file!
