Blank comic book

Post by abacus »

Looking through the book shelves in a charity shop this morning I came across a book called the Blank Comic Book.Flicking through the pages it was just a drawing book with printed panels ready for some budding artist to create their own comic and although I like churning out pictures at leasure it's not for me.My next thought was how much were they asking for it ? the answer was £2 but it did get me thinking was this book a one off or are these type of books quite common? What next? one called blank reading book better known as a scrap pad :)

I came across some Walt Disney blank animation panels many years ago at an ephemera fair. No idea where they are now.

That sounds like something someone was working on and never got around to finish.
The book I was looking at was titled the Blank Comic Book and was full of pages of empty panels And with it being a kinda specialist subject I just wondered who would publish this type of book..The book was also slightly larger than comic book size whereas I thought professional comic artists worked on a much larger scale, anyway I don'tt think it made the New York best seller list. :)

Blank comic books must be quite popular for although it's the first one I have seen there are many available on the internet,an example of some shown in image.

If you have no idea where your 'blank animation panels' are, Steve, would you agree with me that you could be said to have a Blank Memory?

If they were Warner Brothers panels maybe a Blanc memory?

How are you coping with all those G7 bigwigs in your manor?

I'll keep my eyes peeled for the headline "Local pensioner assaults Boris Johnson with Captain Kirk style drop kick"

a) A nice play on words there, Steve.
b) I have avoided travelling in the Carbis Bay direction. To be fair I haven't needed to go out this last week apart from restocking the larder with the necessary foodstuffs from my local shops.
c) The idea may well be tempting but despite my belief that our Prime Minister is an obnoxious individual, and a serial liar to boot, I wouldn't be willing to sentence him to spend the rest of his life trying to figure out how to get his testicles back into his scrotum.

Never been a fan of blank comic books. Can't see the appeal myself, unless it's a Christmas themed annual and featured snow. 🤔
Well, hello there!
