What comics did you buy today?
Re: What comics did you buy today?
Thanks! I also remember getting the free 'Colourforms Adventure Set' which featured an underwater scene in October 1981 with Buster. I lost it years ago but was lucky to find a mint copy on Ebay a few years ago. This week I also managed to get the Buster Book 1964, 3 Busters from 1960, Buster 3rd April 1971 and Buster November 4th 1972. I had a huge collection of Busters (1960-81) collected over many years. Quite some time ago I decided to sell the lot and began to regret it afterwards. In 2019 I started collecting Busters again focusing on the years 1960 to 1981. It's tough going starting from scratch again but I have managed to get 340 issues so far, a complete run of the Summer Specials (1969-81), all of the Buster Books (1962 - 1982) incl The Buster Book of Thrills, The Buster Book of Spooky Stories (2), The buster Book of Gags (2) and most of the Puzzle Specials with just 2 remaining to get for those years.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Bought a couple of comics from town today.
Adventure comics 1965 £1
Creepy Worlds (Alan Class) £1
These are in not in the best of condition and were unsold leftovers the market seller still had from two weeks ago ,but I decided I had to buy something while there.
Collecting is like the lottery a number of mundane weeks and then the jackpot

I have most of the 1969 issues which I'll put on ebay soon. Which issues are you missing?Chalky wrote: ↑11 Apr 2022, 09:17Over the last week or so I bought 2 Buster comics from 1969, I'm only missing 5 now to complete that year. I also bought the Buster Club badge from the early 1960's. Mine is the gold painted metal version, not the plastic version. I'm guessing the earlier ones were metal and the later ones were plastic. I also bought 3 early Busters from 1964-66, and the following 'Buster' free gifts - Feb-March 1961 '12 Men of Danger' cards and folder, October 1st 1977 'Creepy Clutcher' & the Swizzels drink powder sachet from May 30th 1981. I can remember getting this issue of Buster back in 1981 and drinking this, I won't be sampling this one though!
