Got myself a Buster comic from the 16th December 1989 that featured another page of Lew Stringer Vampire Brats art I recently purchased.

Although not comic related thought I'd share these two magazines I recently bought being a fan & collector of classic TV sitcom memorabilia.. So here's a 1973 'On The Buses' TV Times and a 1978 'Rising Damp' TV Times. Just love the covers. So cool. :)

Nice brace there Chalky. Ironically sold a load of 1960 issues a few years back myself. My moment of madness you can say. Wish I kept them now. Had some cool Chrisrtmas issues too. :headbash:

BOT: Recently sourced a nice copy of the Beano comic no.327 from 1948 featuring the first appeareance of Biffo. Pic to follow asap. 8)

Thanks 'Into The Abyss', I've been slowly re-building up my Buster collection since 2019 after selling my huge collection back in 2012 incl the 1st issue. If I was thinking properly at the time I should have kept all of the 1960 issues especially the 1st issue. That was definitely my moment of madness! I now have 444 issues (plus specials and annuals) from 1960-1981 with 42 more Busters on the way!

Sorry Chalky to hear that you too in the past sold comics that you now regret. Yeah, know exactly what you are going through. Sometimes we forget it's so easy to sell that to collect and how difficult it is restart a collection again from scratch as when first bought were easily available and time which now means those same comics & annuals initially bought for pennies, in some case they were giving them away, are now at a premium, not forgetting the thousands of hours trawling online, going to car boot sales and jumble sales. And I find besides the excitement of finding issues needed to fill a void in my collection , the only downside is cost & condition. A slow painful process granted but achievable.

I sold a lot of my comics before I went to Africa to live. To be honest, the collection was so large that I had many I had never read, many that I had read and never needed to read again and a fair few that I didn't like. I enjoyed rebuilding the collection. I'm now at the stage again where I would like to downsize and just get a very select few.

Hi Starscape. We've all been there mate. In my case decided to sell a few comic issues , mostly doublets, on eBay, and l before I knew it, ended up selling my entire collection. It was so addictive. And sure, the money was nice at the time, it was exciting seeing bidders fight over issues listed, but when the money runs out, your collection is gone, and the proverbial hits the fan, you regret selling what you promised yourself you'd never do. But it's nice to hear that you managed to rebuild your collection again. Not an easy thing to do. Kudos! 👋🙂

Picked up a couple of comics a £1 each from the market this morning , could have bought more but I was visiting charity shops next to see if they had anything of interest.

Both comics from the 80s decade.
