Thanks abacus. Yeah, it's nice to show them in the flesh so to speak. Just love the cover art on those early issues. So cool.

A few bits and pieces from today's car boot nothing too exciting.
Roy Rogers cowboy annual (world distributors)
One of the singing cowboys that included Roy,Gene Autry,Tex Ritter and anyone else that could churn out a tune.
As a youngster watching these films at the saturday morning matinee I would sit bored during the musical intervals waiting for the action to resume.
Now as a slightly older person I can see that these films were made for the family and I quite enjoy the old cowboy melody.
(but I digress) Also bought....
The Gambols books ,15,31,33,37
Topper comic no. 1615 ....... 1984
Dandy comics nos.2219,2222,2231 ....... 1984
Whizzer and Chips 9th July 1988

Nice haul abacus Ah, the booty bounty. The getting up early in the morning. Quick shave and shiitake mushroom cuppa soup. Grab some carry-a-bags. Then it's off in the car, or on the bus, to the local bootsale. Pocket full of pound coins to the point that your trousers are so heavy that you walk like Charlie Chaplin with a bad case of piles and can be heard miles away jingling like Rudolf on his wedding night.
Well, hello there!

On the way to the ferry today, I stopped as I so often do in Wigtown. In one of the smaller shops, I picked up the Beezer Books from 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972 and 1973, all from the one collection. £30 for the lot. I could have had 1974 as well, but I’m pretty sure I already have it.
Cracking stuff, including the origins of Our Sheriff’s an Ape! and what appears to be a Ken Harrison Banana Bunch.

I've cleaned out the local second hand book shop. I have bought upwards of 40 annuals from them. Roughly a pound each. Mostly Dandy annuals, beezer, bash street kids, Dennis the menace and Fleetway's humour comics. I'm gonna need a new bookshelf.

Re: What comics did you buy today?
Being of a certain age I was a big fan and collector of the Alan Class range of comics mostly for the obscure superhero and sci fi strips in them as the comics which these were reprinted from I had never seen until the dawn of eBay and such like. Yesterday I had a delivery from Amazon 500 page book The super agents of Thunder vol 1 which is a black and white ( just like Alan Class comics) reprint book of many of the Thunder range of comics not bad value for £17.50 . This is a large range of mostly American comics and Magazines with the old British comic all by GWANDANALAND comics Some good titles I have may eye on a few more to help while the time away when the winter months start drawing in
