I was watching "Crime Story" on Sunday night at 9pm on TPTV; it was an episode and play about the notorious poisoner and murderer Graham Young. Early on the the episode. I noticed on Graham's desk a copy of "TV Action" which may likely have been around when Mr Young did his crimes. Evil bloke who must have had good tastes in comics!
Will say that Graham Young - and the action who played him - has a sinister angular face just like one of my own managers in a place I worked at in 1990. A place not for (un-diagnosed) Autistic people (I wouldn't be until 2017), full of depraved people. I've often told of my unpleasant experiences there at Autism experiences talks I've given.

Re: Comics on TV
A few nights ago I caught by accident a Benny Hill compilation (all of his stuff now very dated) on Freeview 71. It featured his later years sketches, featuring the children of former Hills' Angels Dancers. In one sketch one of the kids is seen reading a copy of The Beano whilst asking another kid his age and he replies 4 or 5 at which the girl with the Beano asks if he can do some adult things - when he says no she replies "you must be 4 then".
Re: Comics on TV
Another comic on Tv sighting came on last Saturday night on TPTV Freeview 82 - in an episode of "Budgie" entitles "King For A Day", I noticed Charlie Endell's chief henchman Laughing Spam Fritter had a copy of the Dandy sticking out of his pocket which Charlie asked him to remove as it "lowered the tone" for some important American visitors doing "business". I think this episode was recorded in 1971, for showing in early 1972 (the second series).

I watched that Budgie as its one of my favourite shows but didn't notice that scene. Mind you nowadays I watch TV with one eye while doing a cryptic crossword or indexing comics on GCD.

Yeah I saw that too. I also noticed in a later scene in the same episode the corner of a Look and Learn comic in a later scene too.

Re: Comics on TV
I always cringe at the way comics are carelessly handled on TV. I remember buying American comics in a shop in Pimlico and, as the newsagent squinted at the price, I could see his thumbnail digging into the cover. They could probably hear my teeth grinding three streets away.
