Does anyone out there no if Titan are going to reprint more classic comic stripsd in book form?

I wrote to them a few months ago asking them this question but nevergot a reply!

It's unlikely Wallace & Gromit Comic will be delayed (or cancelled yet). It's apperared on time every month so far. (IMHO one of Britain's best new comics but sadly hardly mentioned here for some strange reason).

Modesty Blaise has also kept its quarterly frequency so far (as has its companion series, James Bond 007). The first two Charley's War volumes are re-offerings, as they're already published, so the third CW volume is the only one that might have a delay but I don't see any reason why it might ship late.

Hi Ian,not too surprised to read you got no reply from the publishers.I wrote to a certain company many years ago re a novel by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson and also recieved no reply.The sheer obstinancy and bad manners of the people supposed to be in charge of these services to the public beggars belief!Any other job and they would be fired for their incompetence.It really tightens my colon! If any other business ran their operations this way,they would be out of business all too soon!!!WE are their bread and butter and YOU do not bite the hand that feeds!ALL comics PRIMA DONNAS take note!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody.I agree with the Capt it beggars belief that companys such as Titan dont even think its worthwhile replying to current and potential customers. Without us they would be sunk.

Sorry if this is an obvious question but did you enclose a SAE?

It could simply be that there had been no decision on the titles you enquired about at the time you asked, then they simply forgot to reply or forgot to pass your enquiry on to the relevant editor.

I know a couple of the editors at Titan and they've been in the comics business for 20 years or more so I'm sure they appreciate your custom.

A word in defence of Titan...I wrote to them a while ago about a mis-printed page in one of their titles and they were good enough to send me a free copy of the title when it was re-printed (with the error corrected). This seems like very good customer service to me.

In all my other dealings with Titan I have found them to be extremely helpful and courteous.

I applaud their decision to re-print UK tiles like Dan Dare, Charley's War, Spider and Steel Claw. They are making a great contribution to the UK comics scene these days.

I confess that I didnt enclose an SAE.Im going to write to them again with an SAE and see what happens.
For the record I wrote to them to tell them how much I enjoyed their reprints of "Charlies War","Steel Caw" etc and to ask them if there was any possibility of them doing "Janus stalk".

I will let the forum know how I get on.

Always enclose an SAE when making enquiries. You're asking them to give you some of their time so they're not going to pay for it.

The character you're thinking about is Janus Stark by the way. I agree that it would be brilliant to see those collected.

I have never been a big fan of Titan books. I always feel that they try and screw every last penny out of me for the work that they retail. Pro rata they are much more expensive to buy than Mavel's output when it comes to hadcovers and TPB's.
