Anyone remember "The Nervs" in 1960s `Smash`? I loved it when Ken Reid started drawing it- really funny!

The woman in the back seat is the Id, the woman at the wheel is the Ego...and the silly too-small hat is the Superego! :)

Here's a couple of examples from an Usborne book called "How Your Body Works", illustrated by Colin King, first printed in 1975. It has mini people working more or less every part of the body, which is represented as giant machinery.
