Not bad, although as I've said before, I sold Prog 2 with the gift a few years ago for £600 on its own.
I'd sell my copy for that! Interestingly Phil only achieved £343 last night for his and £245 for #1

It was someone in New York who bought mine. As always it's a case of the right buyer noticing the auction the week it's on I suppose. Prices can fluctuate quite a bit as we know. Sometimes, people e-mail me asking for comic values as they assume I must know because I do a comics blog. I tell them it's not my area of expertise and to keep an eye on eBay to see what similar items go for.

With the £ being weaker since the Brexit vote, I've noticed that I'm selling a lot more comics abroad, probably as many as treble the number. I have a whole load of US Ultimate Spiderman comics from 2000 onwards including some rare variants (#1 Blue and White at CGC 9.8 ratings) which I'm not really interested in now and could do with some more pennies in the comic-buying coffers so I'm intending to get them on Ebay soon as now would seem a good time to do so. I sold a bunch of Marvel and Power comic duplicates with gifts to a chap in the US last year for £850 which was well spent on 3500+ Commando comics!

Indeed. Not the best copy of issue 2 that I have seen, but if I was selling, I would not complain at that price.

I will be honest and say that it has gone past what I would expect to pay by at least £250.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

The copy I sold for £600 was only slightly better condition than that so £705 so far is an excellent price, and it's bound to go for more. This is the perfect week to sell it, as that issue will be 40 years old on Sunday.

I am a bit gobsmacked. Especially as someone is trying to sell their entire 2000AD collection for just over twice more than the money got for Prog 2 alone.

Annoyingly I have the first forty odd progs going spare EXCEPT PROG 2. Nevermind. :(

Thanks Bri. I am planning to put them on eBay in lots once I have worked out how much I want for them. But I could always give you a heads up if you are interested.

if you have a poor copy of issue 1 I'd be interested :)
(I'm a Dan Dare fan rather than a 2000ad fan so I don't need a copy in fab. condition)

Suddenly I am feeling the love for my Victor collection as I just found my issue 2 during the last upload of pictures to my Unpacking album. It's a public album so anyone can view it.

They might fetch a bit more if the seller showed the actual comics instead of the tatty carrier bags they're in.
