Today’s the day! Rupert is 100.
One of my earliest memories is aged 3 on Christmas Day 1968, receiving my first Rupert annual. I guess it counts as my first ever comic related item and I still have it. How much has followed since!
Many happy returns!

The Daily Express had celebration pull-outs on Friday, Saturday and today. I got the first two but don't buy a Sunday paper.

Many Happy Returns, Rupert; and thank you Alfred Bestall - and Doris Campbell.

Steve - I got those inserts, today included. Another nostalgia fest for me as I recall that there were a couple of occasions back in the Seventies when they did that in the broadsheet sized Express - full colour too which was special in those days.

Happy Birthday, Rupert.
Here's to another 100 years.
I have been collecting Rupert annuals since I was a kid and hopefully will be doing it for a long time yet.

Ah, loved watching the Rupert the Bear cartoons as a kid in the 1970s. Bit of trivia: As a Welshman was fascinated once to learn that artist Alfred Bestall himself lived for many years in Wales. Beddgelert in the Vale of Clwyd to be exact. And much of the landscape that featured in the Rupert stories were based on the valleys & mountainous surroundings there.
Well, hello there!
