Collecting comics within a budget

Talk here about just about anything associated with British comics or story papers and the industry that does not fit in any other forum.

I'm not keen on 2000AD; and I don't know why ,maybe it's an age thing or the artwork or stories being spread out over a number of weeks but apart from finding the covers interesting I generally ignore them.
I did buy one or two from a charity shop once only because they had free gifts attached to them.

One of the things I like about american golden age comics is the fact that they can cram a complete adventure story into two or three pages.

I now tend to track down pre-80's comics but will buy newer comics that I lke and want to add to my collection.
