On a lighter note than the previously deep thread that we had regarding racism, why is it that almost every female that appears in a male comic is almost anatomically incorrect?
I mean, if these were representatives of real women, they would surely fall over without some serious support from Playtex!
Please note that this is intended to be light-hearted dig at some of our more sensual artists, but in no way an attack on anyone.
Social hand-grenade thrown in. Now swiftly retiring from the fall-out!

I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

I think it may be down to the artist's perception of what his ideal woman should look like Now I'm off to the trenches before our female members berate me.

The only sexist thing is limiting it to women. Anyone here built like Captain America or Green Arrow? Heck, even Rick Jones would be a start! (Bouncing Boy perhaps?)
It's called fantasy for a reason.

Mary Jane on her bike and saying hip things..is my kind of girl...groovy man...
wasn't a Gwen Stacy fan she was a bit hard work...too emotional
the 60's/70's was great for women......I like mine full of fun and body..long hair...
Lilypop by Frank 'Cheeky' was great..I have that pin up on my wall....in my comic box room with Mary jane picture of her meeting Peter Parker for the first time...face it tiger you hit the jackpot!..
Women in the late 80's/90's were not so much fun...everything had a back story...they ruined Mary Jane in my mind by saying she had a grim childhood.....couldn't she be a fun happy person without that ...
Pansy Potter didn't look very feminine..or act...maybe that when women are strong they look like a man...she could easily be a man comic character...
Minnie the minx is the best female role model......other than the mischief.....I love the character.....she has so much energy...as Leo said a female Tarzan......very her own character...

Colcool007, what ARE you blithering on about? Keyhole Kate has to be THE most flat-chested bit of totty ever created in comics!

'Cos American comics are mostly aimed at teenage boys.

In Almost all American comics everyone male or female is shown in an idealised form. All the blokes are like Arnie and all the girls are like Pammy Anderson. It's not sexist if both sexes are portrayed in the same way.

I can assure you that I came across this thread by pure accident. Such impure thoughts have never crossed my mind. However, I have good news for fans of Keyhole Kate. She may have been flat chested then, but you should see her now she?s grown up. In fact, her keyhole spying days are over ?cos she can no longer get close enough to them. As for Pansy Potter? She?s got a figure that would make a Bishop kick in a stained glass window. Only one problem: she?s doing 6 months for domestic violence after she had an altercation with her boy friend.

Woe is me! When I tried to get to this particular website I was told my Windows Media Player didn?t have the required widget. Hardly surprising, because I?m using OSX on an Apple Mac! Either Bill Gates or Steve Jobs have deprived me of the erotic experience of a lifetime. Maybe they were in on it together. Then I checked on our friend Jobasder?s profile. Nothing. Blank...Zero. Okay, what about his previous posts? That?ll give us some idea of his favourite comics. It seems he?s posted messages all over the place. All of them announcing a porn movie on the above site. Maybe it's some kind of subtle marketing ploy. He?s hoping that anyone who fails to get an erection when they visit this site will avail themselves of some Viagra from one of his mates. Just one final question: is this porn movie he?s urging us to watch connected with comics? Maybe it?s a clip of Pansy Potter giving a blowjob to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Or maybe it shows Keyhole Kate working as a dancer in Tony Soprano?s Bada-Bing nightclub. What?s happening to the Comics UK Forum? Once upon a time it was filled with clean British schoolboy humour. Now look at it.

From my limited understanding of these things - and obviously this is a spam message with that URL - if you click on them, spam bots/spammers recognise the forum it came from as one that works and it can increase spam to the forum.
So I'd recommend not clicking on anything that is a spam message.
Also usng words such as P*rn and Par*s H*lt*n can attract bots that look for more 'welcoming homes', shall we say.
Ignore them completely, don't reply to them and let admin delete them!
Just some thoughts on it all...

Hey Corporal, I'm selling the Tower of London for a knock down price. Send me your credit card details and I'll get it out to you tomorrow.
ALTERNATIVELY
Don't click on these things. You think p*rn spammers put these up so you can have good time for nothing?
Clean out your temporary files, run a virus scan and keep your firewall on and up-to-date. Don't mail anyone (especially me) for a while and don't use your credit card online for a good bit. Best of all, run the virus scan with your connection down so the trojans don't mass mail everyone you've got in your email.
And if you're not running anti-virus and firewall software, download AVG and Zonelabs. Then check your bank account (but not online!)

Thanks for the warnings. However, although the old Apple Mac isn?t totally safe, it?s still a lot safer than the PC. And I do take elementary precautions. They must work because I?ve had this G4 over two years and I?ve never had one virus, touch wood. Like most people I get spam and I sometimes respond just to wind these people up. When someone assumes I?m thick enough to fall for one of their sad little scams it pisses me off. For example, I occasionally get those bogus bank requests. The last one was for an American bank. Instead of ignoring it, I pretended I had an account with them and put in some random numbers and other details. And even though it only caused them a minor inconvenience, it made me feel a little better. Another scam is the old Nigerian one. You know the one: a plane has crashed and one of the dead passengers left a lot of money. I devised this official looking response from the American Justice Department claiming that, after 9/11, my email address was set up to monitor these scams. I then warned the sender that he was suspected of funding international terrorism and that the CIA would track him down unless he reported to the nearest police station and furnished proof of his innocence. Only one person ever replied ? and from the tone of his email he was experiencing a certain looseness of the bowels. With a bit of luck the others went into hiding. Yeah, I know it?s risky, but I just can?t help it.
