Another girls' comic artist #6 - John Woods

Post by Tonibunny »

We've already discussed John Woods quite a bit as I posted the whole of his story "The Survivors" in the Girls Comics forum, but I thought I'd start a thread so I can gather together more examples of his work :D

This is from "Wendy's Wishing Well" from the 1975 Bunty annual:

If anyone would like to add any examples of his work or more info about him, please do!

*edited to remove stuff that probably isn't his!*

The second example is his (although there is another artist with a similar looser style - Douglas Perry?) but pretty sure the first isn't his work at all?

:?

Don't have examples immediately to hand But John Woods drew the strips for the 'Four Feather Falls' and 'Dalek' annuals in the 1960s, as well as illustrating 'Doctor Who and the Zarbi':

Oh dear, I shall remove that first image.......I'm not sure if it's him or not, in other parts of the story it looks very like the same artist who did The Survivors but I don't know.
