Jean Sidobre
Re: Jean Sidobre
There is a strip in the Sally annual 1975 called 'Jacey Joins The Bandits' which looks to me like it might be Sidobre's work. The unusual layout suggests it may be a reprint from a pocket library. As soon as I am able to clear stuff from my scanner, I'll post a page or two...

Re: Jean Sidobre
Jluc, as you mentioned owning the Princess Tina annuals above, may I ask if 'Penny on her Own' is in the 1973 and 1974 editions, please?jluc-parker wrote:Here are my Annuals I own:
"Tina" 1968.
"Princess Tina" 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974.
"Tammy" 1975.
Also, as a favour, could you scan pages 87 and 88 from the Princess Tina annual 1972, please - my copy arrived but was missing these, and someone wanted to see all of the 'Checkmate' feature.
Re: Jean Sidobre
Hi Jluc, 'Miss Adventue in Spain' is not in 'Tammy' annuals 1976, or 1977. In Tammy annual 1977 there is this 'Aztec Gold' story that I thought may be his work, what do you think?
Re: Jean Sidobre
Aztec Gold isn't the work of Sidobre, unfortunately I don't know the name of this artist but they did work on "Sara's Kingdom" from Sally/Tammy comic.matrix wrote:Hi Jluc, 'Miss Adventue in Spain' is not in 'Tammy' annuals 1976, or 1977. Re: Jean Sidobre
That's an exceptionally nice page Jluc - Jean really did like drawing blondes!
Do you have the printed version of that episode in Princess Tina? If not I'd be happy to scan it for you.

Yes, thank you very much for doing that. My friend also says thank you. Sorry for the delay but been very busy.jluc-parker wrote:Hello Shaqui.

Here's the pages from the Sandy annual 1975 of 'Jacey Joins The Bandits'. A quick google shows this was indeed a reprint of a June & Schoolfriend Picture Library, no 361, from around 1966.
Re: Jean Sidobre
As promised Jluc, here's the printed version of your 'My Chum Yum-Yum' page as it appeared in the issue of Princess Tina dated 27th September, 1969.
And while I'm at it, here are the concluding panels of 'Heir to Roxcliffe' from the issue dated 15th May, 1971 - the latest example of Jean's work for the British market I've yet been able to find.
As for his 'Sinbad' strip in Treasure I'm pretty sure that this began in no.338 (July 5th, 1969) and concluded in no.361 (December 13th, 1969) - though it's worth noting that he also illustrated a number of text articles for the same magazine, as seen in the example from no.334 shown below:

Re: Jean Sidobre
I can confirm that Jean Sidobre did NOT draw 'My Chum Yum-Yum' in issue 24 of 'Tina' (date 5 Aug 1967) but it was drawn by Patrick Williams.
