Thanks, James. As my Facebook page is a "by invitation only" page I shouldn't hear from him or her again- With a bit of luck, I might be posting again before Christmas :)

Sorry to hear you've had some hassle, Brian. Some saddos have nothing better to do unfortunately. Take comfort in the fact that their lives must be pretty empty to troll a blog. Keep up the good work.

Nasty people do nasty things and ignorance is a large part of it. It doesn't seem enough for some to engage in a civilised manner with blogs etc. And they appear to take a creepy satisfaction from insulting/haranguing others. Surely there is enough choice in the huge world of comics to keep anyone happy without resorting to obnoxious behaviour.

I have spent at least 2 years, possibly 3, trading insults with cheesie pop Supremo Jonathan King on youtube which has now elevated to the point that if I actually met him in real life I would have enough info to hold an in depth conversation with him regarding his illicit habits.....

best to avoid him though

There's a certain amount of fun to had with arguments, but getting enjoyment from simply insulting, upsetting or threatening people is pure "creep". I have known one or two, including an ex-friend who liked creating dismay because he thought it was funny. In fact, it was the only thing he did think was funny. It just got worse as he got older.

In a bout of trolling by a usual suspect, my wife said to me: 'are you enjoying this?'. Of course, the answer was 'no'.

I came to the conclusion a few years ago, if you wouldn't speak to them in the street, don't speak to them online. Life's way too short to get upset about people that really don't matter at all.

Block and ignore. Get on with living. Leave them all behind.

Well, I had some bad news tonight (and it's nothing to do with the troll who recently attacked my site).

I have officially announced the end of the Comics Archive blog, and to end my blog, I have a late era Banana Bunch strip with another beezer interloper appearing here

BTW, if you want any ot the images from the Beezer/Topper "Widescreen" post in the retired DCT comics section, grab them now before the 16th.

So you can't afford your hosting any more eh? I take it this bad news was of a financial nature then. Sorry to hear about that. :(

Sorry to hear your blog is coming to an end, Bruce. Thanks for all the fantastic posts you've done over the years. Maybe later you could think about using a free blogging service, but first have a well-earned rest, and I wish you all the best until we hear from you again.

I'm sorry to hear that, Bruce. We need more enthusiastic, upbeat blogs like yours. I hope that when you feel more positive that perhaps you'll revive the blog on a free site like Blogger. Best wishes to you for a prosperous 2016.

Is Mr Laing's Christian name Brian or Bruce? I must admit that I've always addressed him, and referred to him, as Bruce. Could somebody clarify please.
