Giant holiday album

Discuss all the girls comics that have appeared over the years. Excellent titles like Bunty, Misty, Spellbound, Tammy and June, amongst many others, can all be remembered here.

Somewhere else on this forum someone spoke about this book. It seems the stories are reprints from picture story libraries. The printing quality is supposed to be just so-so, with a lot of greys and no black.

the print quality on the other volumes isn't great either

I won't be buying a copy at (anything like) that price but a cheap copy might intrigue me enough

I'm with Richard on this one. £9.99 might tempt me. £15 at a push, but this price from Silveracre belongs in the Ebay prices are stupid thread.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!

Here it is for £4.99. The listing has ended, but the seller has been relisting it for a while now.

If somebody does get it, could they please provide a list of the contents? I'm curious to know what the reprints are, but I don't want to purchase the annual. Thanks.

Hi

Contents as follow. Anything with a page count looks as if it came from a weekly comic, special, or annual. The rest are 64 pages long, and look as if they come from pocket-sized comics.
I've put in earlier appearances of these stories, when I could glean then from the internet -- no guarantee that the appearances given below were first printings, though.

Sue And The Moon Visitors -- from PRINCESS PICTURE LIBRARY No.39(I think Bill Lacey drew this)
Silent Three At Farley's Folly (9 pages) -- from School Friend Annual 1954
Schoolgirl Riders To The Rescue -- from SCHOOLGIRL'S PICTURE LIBRARY No.15
Angel Street Detective -- from School Friend Picture Library No.25
Bessie's Bedside Manner! (2 pages) -- also in June Book 1973, though I doubt if that was its first appearance
The Gay Cavalier (20 pages of very old fashioned looking artwork)
Dilly Dreem -- The Lovable Duffer (1 page. Reprinted from School Friend, I think)
That Elusive Grey Ghost, adapted form the story by Dorothy Page -- from Schoolgirls Picture Library #109
