Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
I seem to be having the same success with Scottish players as Gordon Strachan.

Yes, I think I know who needs ditching... Rooney and Gerrard from mine I think, Roo's off form and Liverpool are crap right now. Just replaced those two, who only got 3 pts between them last week, with two players who scored 22 between them. And both in the dream team too. I should do far better next week.

I'm playing the blind optimism card rather strongly.steelclaw wrote:Chris arn't you meant to pick the best team with these sort of gameschrissmillie wrote:I seem to be having the same success with Scottish players as Gordon Strachan.you have millions to spend.

Hey I got 77 points this week, last saturday I had dropped to 6th place I'm now second again hooray
Alan's running away with it plus his top of all his other leagues.

Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
Yep, I saw that 77 points. Very nice. A few more of those will send you shooting up the World League as well.
My aim now is to break into the World top 1000. I reached position 1824 last week, but have now dropped to 3110. 'tis the best I've ever done.
I also have a 'B' team, Melchester Rovers 54, who are still in the Fantasy Cup. They have made it to the 4th Round (of 21), which equates to the last 262144....Wembley, here I come!

Well done Alan this could be your best ever season.
Your running away from 6 of us and us 5(Which is pretty close) are running away from Chris with his Scottish team

Looking at it last week, there was only 14 points between 2nd and 6th. Now that's what I call pretty close.
I started to say something sensible but my parents took over my brain!
Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
Well done Al you got your highest amount of points 96 for gameweek 24, I wasn't far behind with 91 my best tally so far

Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
Sorry to disappoint but I really dislike football. Probably because I spent my youthful Saturdays watching Airdrie. I have relations and friends who are Hearts fans and it's purgatory going out with them. Tonight, my wife and I will sit down with a glass of wine and watch the pro-bowl, all the way from Hawaii. Next week it's the Superbowl. Wonderful stuff. Today was ODI Cricket on the radio. There's so much more than moribund old football.
OOPS, just joined and annoyed lots of people.

Isn't American football 20% action and 80% standing around arms akimbo? (Similar to cricket). Four hours to play about 30 minutes of football, dullsville.
But welcome to comics UK, Paw. Hope I haven't rattled your whiskers. Get Maw to fan you with your tam-o-shanter.

Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
Congratulations Al on winning the league. I was more than happy to get a respectable third and only 9 points from getting second!

Re: Fantasy Football anyone?
Thanks guys. That good early start I had certainly helped
. After that I was chasing shadows. Hands up if you transferred out Berbatov the week when he scored those 5 goals against Blackburn. (yep, that was me)
For me, it made every match throughout the season more interesting. So I was genuinely interested in Wigan and West Brom results.
I tend to play FF every year, so I'll be asking you all again to participate next season.
